Members zuul777
Yeah, so we have sound, lights, and what we missing from a show? smell! We should all invent smell boxes. We can even use DMX to control it. Maybe different fader channels to tweak the smell:ch1: intensitych2: sweet -- sourch3: pleasant --- unbearablech4: fruit sentsch5: nature smellsch6: poop/fartch7: foodsch8: beer/wine/liquor
Members zuul777
And then Behringer would come out with a bunch of cheap smelling versions that Mackie already released. And about 1/5th the price.ohhhhohhh I'd hate to be at a concert with a 20,000 watt smell system!!

Members bigmike216
I can produce the fart smell for free. No need for fancy DMX control on me.

Members abzurd
Just insert some Glade Plug Ins into a dimmer pack and off you go. Of course do you really want something else for drunk patrons to comment on? - "Hey man, tell the sound dude the magnolia smell isn't strong enough". - "I used to work at Walgreens and we sold air freshners. Can I run the lights for while?" - "I smell. Can I play guitar?"
Members IsildursBane
Why atrificially control odors, when random natural aromas are so much more interesting? Let's see, in our line of work we already have:*Dirty hippy w/ pitchoulli*Dirty hippy w/o pitchoulli*Old rotting beer*Microphone funk*Vomit*Urine*Sweat turning to vinegar*Diesel fumes*Propane fumes (forklift)*Solder fumes*The Asian grocery store that rents the front half of our warehouse*Cheap hotel room*Weed That's magic you can't get in a bottle. -Dan. I dunno, I had some scented fog juice that kinda smelled like a combination of those things. It was described simply as "pleasant aroma". NOBODY found that description accurate. Members BlackBelt
Here in Memphis there was a bar owner that used to use vanilla fragrance because she said it made people drink more.
Members gruvjack
Smell is indeed a factor that is overlooked by many establishments. I used to work in a place that had a decent sound system and OK lighting but the new manager decided to do some cuts and that included carpet cleaning and scents for the main room. The horror..the horror V.
Members ATOMICDOG1
Seems to me that I remember a company that used to put out cannibis scent that you could add to fog juice. I wonder what the point of that really was... seems a little too much like near beer to me, lol.
