Guitar mix question when running sound from stage

I have the Koch twintone. It has a nice solo level footswitch feature. And a great speaker-simulated line-out so I don't have to mic it. Just use the cab as a monitor.

A clean boost pedal like the Carl Martin Hydra in the fx-loop works the same. Just remember to set the gain on the mixer with the volume boost ON so it doesn't clip when you engage it.

Do you find that it's any more noisy because you're adding another 10 to 15 ft of cable each way?

If the cable/Volume boost is in the loop, it should not be an issue. Long cable runs are a problem for Guitars on the input side because of their High Impedance. A Shiva's FX loop is goofy, but fairly decently designed and the impedance is low enough on the output side that cable capacitance shoudn't be a huge issue.
