Members soul-x
I think Madison used pretty mostly Chinese-sourced drivers in their boxes.

Members agedhorse
Where does everybody think Celestion drivers are made? My understanding is that EVERYTHING was moved to China a few years back.

Members blkmonday
if it sounds anything like any of the junk ive owned from madison i wouldnt use it to hold open the door while i carry my jbls's to the van. perhaps as a wheel chock though...those speakers are garbage...especially the "legion" ones
Members bigjd
I was trying to get away from the madison drivers. They've acually held up pretty well, but they're alittle harsh.

Fair enough. I suggest getting ahold of Jack at Assistance Audio and see if he could recommend possibly some BMS drivers that would mate up to your hornflairs: http://www.assistanceaudio.com/
Members soul-x
What is the horn throat size/bolt circle diameter? Can you measure the DC resistance with a meter?
Members bigjd
What is the horn throat size/bolt circle diameter? Can you measure the DC resistance with a meter? It's a 1" throat, 4 bolt pattern for mounting.I checked for resistance before I pulled it apart and it was open.So I pulled it apart and the center bobbin had moved over some how (heat?)and touched the coil so it burned.Damn thing looks like the glue melted.Assistance Audio is close. Salt Lake isn't that far from Idaho Falls. Thanx for the tip.
Members bigjd
how far apart are they? I don't have a tape on me but it looks like 3" from center to center of the mounting bolts.
Members soul-x
I don't have a tape on me but it looks like 3" from center to center of the mounting bolts. 3" should fit many 1" throat bolt-ons. An Eminence 2002 may be a good choice for the bucks.
