Members Coverdale
Hey guys! He's really inclined for the pair of EV ZX1 and the Wharfedale Titan SUB 12. He can get the at a good price here in Europe, so he'll probably go with those. Any suggestions on the mixer and power amp?On our band, we usually use a Yamaha MG16, and have had no complaints so far... Thanks again!
Members Unalaska
Yamaha's are good for small format, there are others too. Allen & Heath Zed something small. Consider 1 or 2 ZX1's for monitors too. Amps in the 300w range @ 8 would be a good choice. A couple GX 3's for mains (mono sub/mono mains) and 2 mixes would be ideal. Don't need to overpower here, and the GX3 has the crossover function.
Members agedhorse
JBL control and architectural series also have some good offerings in their compact products.
Members The Real MC
Argh that hardwood floor is a sound nightmare. I remember a new bar that had a store sell them a pile of Mackies for the house PA. They neglected to account for the stone floor and hardwood walls in the room. The ambient reverb was horrible in that room, no amount of EQing would make it sound good. And the idiot running sound was trying to mix using headphones. I'd had rather played in a basketball court. Members Coverdale
It's not hardwood, it's some kind of floated floor (I don't really know the technical term for it)
