Members creading
I recently got a BBE Acoustimax 'acoustic instrument preamp' pedal. I have a Dimarzio 'the Angel' DP230 pick up installed on my acoustic guitar. The Acoustimax works great with my telecaster being played through it and the acoustic guitar sounds great when run directly into the amp (in other words, both things work independently) However when I plug the acoustic guitar into the acoustimax pedal I get nothing out of the amp! I've swapped out cords etc but still no sound. I've emailed BBE and Dimarzio several weeks ago to see if there is some sort of compatibility issue between the two products but have yet to hear anything. Anyone have any ideas? Cheers, C. Members creading
The pedal is new. It works fine with my other guitars that have different pick up types.C.
Members Idunno
Could be a phase shift problem. Is there a phase shifting switch on your amp or preamp? The DP230 and the BBE Pre may be out of phase but you should still get some kind of sound. Perhaps the BBE has a biasing diode in the input? Schematic?
