Members Omrac77 Posted March 4, 2014 Members Share Posted March 4, 2014 so I just started back up in the world of Drumming...and while my near favorite stick is the SD2 Bolero,I find them too short and a bit too litemy question isis there a stick out there, equally as thick in diameter, longer than 15 1/2, and has that same small round tip ?any leads...information ? Members cdawg Posted March 4, 2014 Members Share Posted March 4, 2014 i like the steve jordans, but it looks like they're a bit thinner (think 5a thickness,) but 16". perfect length for me, and the rounded tip. nice sticks. check out the billy cobhams, or the zoro's. personally, i dig a thicker stick than the 5a's, but the jordans have a thicker taper that feels a little meatier than a regular 5a. plus, added a 1/2 inch and it just feels perfect for me. none of the sticks i've mentioned are as thick as your boleros, but get your mitts on them, you just may find them quicker and comfy anyhow. that's how i ended up with the jordans.
