Moderators Ratae Corieltauvorum Posted February 25, 2014 Moderators Share Posted February 25, 2014 OK, got a Ltd B4-E EMG35 style/size sopabar size pickups with Ltds own preamp It plays in the right and left hand as good as any bass I've ever played, but the sound is unremarkable Pickup suggestions, ideally Swiss Army Bass, like a bit of jazz, bit of P, and a bit of Ray from the bridge, prepared to swap out the preamp too, suggestions? I'm pretty shit when it comes to active stuff, so be gentle TIA
Members DeepEnd
No suggestions but that is one gorgeous bass. Is that a recent acquisition? If so, congratulations.

If so, congratulations. No DE, been around for quite a while now, but doesn't get picked up as much as my cow weight MIK Squier Jazz, as the Squier has gorgeous tone....and it's fully stock. Go figure. My Ibanez Roadstar is stripped and being resprayed once the moisture fecks off and I'm doing a stainless refret job on the neck, but the Squier hurts my neck and shoulder since a car accident a few years ago, ditto my Aria Pro II SBR600 and 800, so they're all going, although I think I'll give the 600 to my eldest son who is turning into a hell of a guitraist and bassist at the tender age of 12.
