Members Teletypist
Really nice classical guitar. These are still all hand made in Japan, and the quality level is just great. Sounds and plays wonderful, and it's very light. This one is a 2006 model. The MF specs here: http://guitars.musiciansfriend.com/product/Alvarez-Yairi-CY116-Classical-Guitar?sku=514102 Also comes with the nice case: http://accessories.musiciansfriend.com/product/Alvarez-CC1-Classic-Arched-Acoustic-Guitar-Hardshell-Case?sku=543263 And pictures of mine here: http://s245.photobucket.com/albums/gg46/teletypist/Yairi%20CY116/ Very nice condition, just two bruises: a small finish (not into the wood) chip on the heel, and a ding just above the bridge between the G and B strings. Neither are real obvious. As to trades, mostly looking for semi-hollow or hollow body guitars, but will consider other guitars as well as basses. Members jdluna
I have a late 60's Mosrite Celebrity that I may want to trade. It's a little rough but it is a good guitar. It's about 40 years old now. Any interest?
Members Teletypist
Since that model covers a lot of ground (like is it a guitar or bass?), please describe the features, condition, and any changes or modifications. Of course pictures would be appreciated. TIA
Members jdluna
It's a Celebrity III Mark I w/ tremelo. Here is a ad for it from back in the day: http://www.tymguitars.com.au/mosriteinfo_flyers31bg.htm I have pictures that I can email to you. I have satellite internet so uploading anything to webspace from home is a chore. I'll try it from work later. Let me know your email address and I'll send them. This was my fathers guitar. He bought it brand new in the late 60's. He played gigs around town for years but over the past 20 years or so it has sat in storage. The finish is faded and beatup but the guitar is solid and structurally sound. It will need to be setup as it has been sitting for years but it is a great guitar. I just don't play electrics and have been looking for a new classical. I'd love to see this some where being used instead of sitting here. On the Yairi, the ding on the heel looks like the neck may be pulling away from the body. Is that the case or just the picture?
Members Teletypist
PM'dOn the Yairi, the ding on the heel looks like the neck may be pulling away from the body. Is that the case or just the picture? No, just looks that way. Normal action, and lots of saddle available (never been shaved) and flat top.
