Members NITEFLY182
Good News: cleanest board ever Bad News: fewest pedals on my board ever... maybe i need another one + lots of shiny little golden cables fingers - TU2 - moog ring mod (courtesy of non dig tom) - Robotalk II - OC3 - AW3 - Make it louder - PH3 - TR2 - CE5 - RV3 - DD6 - PolyChorus - Deluxe Memory Man. Im kind of annoyed that I couldnt fit my ad999 or some more pitch shifting on it but I guess I could always expand and get another, 64 inches of pedalboard may be too much though. Thoughts? Members Cackalacky
Nice! I have one of the older Pedaltrain boards and am considering getting one of those Pro's. Question; Do you think there is enough room to mount that PedalPower2 underneath the chassis?
Members NITEFLY182
That was my biggest concern and believe me i tried for about 4 hours today. there is a little slot at the back that is perfect for the little power cable to run through and everything. If the pro was 2 cm higher it would clear with plenty of room but it isnt and the feet are riveted on so i cant take them off easily and add spacers. The pedal power makes it wobble because its about 3mm to tall to fit underneath easily. There are several options that you could consider: 1. take a small carpet with you to put the pedaltrain on and the carpet will allow the difference in height to sink in2. go through the work of cutting, grinding, and notching the frame and possibly welding on a bracket so the pedalpower can fit deeper into the tubing (closer to the top surface) and be better supported than i was trying to make it. This would void the warranty.3. Suck it up and put the PP2 on top like I did4. Take the feet off by cutting the rivets for the feet and add spacers before putting feet back on with sheet metal or machine screws after drilling and tapping the legs. I didnt feel like doing all that work just to gain space for two pedals that may have been redundant. Try it though, any machine shop could do any of the above in less than a day. Members Josh S
Nice looking board... Glad you posted the pic, though- I was gonna buy one of those the other day and it just plain doesn't look like it would be big enough for all my stuff
Members NITEFLY182
I think its alot better than my big board was. I had a 20x40" board and the case for it wouldnt fit in most cars. It was too big to be useful and too heavy to move around easily. If you need huge I'd go with two smaller boards that you could actually use rather than a huge one that wouldnt be any good for actual gigging. Members bucket_brigadier
I thought you could fit the PP2 underneath without hassle. That could be a dealbreaker for me.
Members Hell Bites
Oh man, I'm having so much trouble deciding between getting a Pedal Train pedalboard or an NYC... Nice looking board by the way.
Members NITEFLY182
Oh theres definitly a hassle. It wouldnt be hard to fix, it would just require some work. Nyc boards are cool but the whore carpet covered thing blows. Their carpet tends to shred as well after a year or so.

Members Arjae
Great looking board! That sucks that the PP2 won't fit underneath. That was one of the things I liked so much about the Boneyard.... plenty of room underneath for the PP2. I have two of them mounted under my Boneyard with room to spare. Right now, if I got a Pedal Train it would be the Pedal Train 2, not the Pro as I don't want to really spend more than $200. Personally the whole putting velcro on the bottom of pedals thing doesn't exactly appeal to me although there appears to be few alternatives. Members bucket_brigadier
screw it man, i love my original pedaltrain but I need something bigger. I thought the pro was just about perfectly designed for my needs, but if I'm gonna have to modify it anyway... screw it, I'm gonna roll up my sleeves and build my own. very nice setup though, nitefly. Members NITEFLY182
whats the problem with velcro, it just peels off. The other alternative is actually screwing pedals down.
Members Hell Bites
Well, I don't know. I guess I'm just kinda weird. I don't mind putting it on my Boss pedals but I have trouble putting it on my ADA Flanger for example. That said, seeing that you have no distortion pedal, what amp do you use----Engl Savage, Mesa Mark IV, Bogner Shiva, VHT Ultralead?
Members threm
Here`s a thread and some pics on how to mod the Pedaltrain Pro board for the PP2 to fit underneath. Btw. the Pro board will be available later this year with a gig bag for those who want it without the heavy flight case. http://www.thegearpage.net/board/showthread.php?threadid=80643&highlight=pedaltrain+PP2 Instructionhttp://tfire.fotopic.net/p14486707.html PicsPP2 underneath the boardhttp://tfire.fotopic.net/p14592726.htmlUnderside of the boardhttp://tfire.fotopic.net/p14599773.htmlTopside of the boardhttp://tfire.fotopic.net/p14599772.html
Members NITEFLY182
Yeah Ive seen those photos on the gear page and it was the same thing I was describing earlier. I just didnt want to go through the hassle of doing it. Im playing through a dual rectifier or a DC-10.
