Members Elliott Damage
they used to be a hot item. i think i might get one. a modern reliable analog delay for less than $300 isn't that bad. think this is a good choice? i don't need the depth of an echoczar or memory lane. Members ollenorin
probably cause its out of production for a while...and might be hard to get. the ad900 is like putting a blanket on yr tone...its not in the same ballpark as the echoczar...not even close i had the ad900.... Members sub rosa
I own both the AD-900 and the AD-80 and they are both f'ing awesome! Sweet, sweet delay tone from these babies!
Members NITEFLY182
The ad-999 is basically the same with more delay time. sure it has different chips but noone could ever hear the difference. i have one but its a bit to pricy and the wrong size to be in use right now. great delay though. I don't know if you've ever heard of Tommy Emmanuel but he's used a humble Boss DD3 for most of his career (acoustic and electric) and he would smoke everyone's sound on this board by a very large margin. It's mostly how you use it that counts.
Members bucket_brigadier
they seem to pop up all the time on ebay. gainster just sold one i think. i was thinking about getting one and having it modded w/ expression jacks, but i decided to go for an echoczar instead. Members Weatherbox
I absolutely love my AD900. If it's not your thing, fine, understandable, but if anyone's actually complaining about the sound of one as if it's hurting their tone, I really can't comprehend that beyond thinking they had a broken one. I'd love to have an Echoczar, too, but I'm not going to wait half a year to drop nearly a grand on a delay pedal when my DMM and AD900 are doing everything I need. The 900 has a definite analog character to it in that it's super rich, but the clarity between the delays and the clean tone of them make it a great unit for me - it's slowly surpassed my held-holy DMM as my most used delay in the past year in that it can be used anywhere from very subtle to soundscaping and always fits. Members agentcooper2001
well, the reason I'm going with the Echoczar is because, it has more features and more delay time. The actual sound of the AD-900 is awesome and I hope the echoczar sounds like it. I just want the extra features and the angel baby for modulated repeats. Members zhivago
I have an AD900 and love it to bits...it does exactly what I want a delay to do....I'm not a huge delay user, but it sounds very nice indeed. (delays I've owned before: morley emerald echo, DM2, DM3) I'd like to mod it for TB, and also add an expression pedal jack in the near future. Members Cruachan
Personally I alternate between a Boss DD-2 and an original AD-9 depending on my mood. They do the job for me, and I personally wouldn't pay that much for the Maxon.

My bad - for some reason I registered your post as "I wouldn't pay that much for A maxon". I should stop skipping over words!
Members spoonie g
I used to own one and thought it was nice, but a bit "flat" compared to others. I even like the deluxe memory man better. It cops a good sim of my space echo on single head, though.
