Well, the check came back saying "invalid account" and I got charged $10 by the bank, in addition to losing a book plus the cost of shipping. It's been a few weeks now. I've tried contacting the guy, with no luck. Here's the info that was on his bad check: Richard P. Haynes Jr. Phone: 910-916-0480 12 Park Ave, Pinebluff, NC 28373 The envelope with the bad check also had a return address label that included this e-mail address: perchaynes@yahoo.com. I left several messages on the answering machine for that phone number. I finally got a hold of a woman who said she doesn't know any Richard P. Haynes Jr. But then she started telling me that he owes a lot of people money, and he's in a lot of debt, etc. So... do I have any recourse in a situation like this?
