Members houseofglass21
I just wanna echo what others have said. Got one of these yesterday and it's a fantastic sounding OD. I've owned an MI Audio Blues Boy, Keeley TS-9, Boss SD-1, and Vox Valvetone...the Bad Monkey sounds better than all of them to my ears. It's great to have separate bass and treble controls. Members ibentmywookie
although i love my ts-9, i REALLY do love my ts-9. i sometimes wonder, what if i knew about the bad monkey before dropping so much money into a pedal that is said to do the same but possibly worse? Members Sparky6string
Excellent pedal! The two knob tone shaping it has makes it very versatile. I can get it to work with all my amps beautifully. Congrats on your purchase.
Members titovanburen
I keep my Marshall stack at the band's rehearsal space. The Bad Monkey is great for getting a "less boring tone" out of my 'lil practice amp at home.
Members Jamison
I use it like that in my practice amp, but it also works wonders for my Mark III when it is semi-clean. When it is already crunchy, I don't like it as much, but I still think it is a wonderful pedal for the price.
Members Wilbo26
Hell of a pedal for the money. Much better than the SD-1 and BD-2 in my opinion, especially considering its at least half the price of both. I've heard clips of it vs. a TS9 and it was pretty tough to tell the difference. Members A-Train
I've got one in the mail. I'll be using it to boost my 1 watter, and my Fender HRD. Should be in on monday.
Members Rocked Star
I love mine. My only complaint is I wish it had a bit more gain. Other than that...the damn thing smokes!
Members GuyaGuy
are those thing SS btw? if so why does digitech make em and not DOD, their sister company?
Members houseofglass21
It's analog, and I'm glad Digitech makes it as opposed to DOD because the enclosure is really sturdy and high quality, and the switch is good. Since they're so cheap I'm thinking about getting another one and running them together when I want more gain.

UNLESS you went with boss of course. and IMHO, every boss overdrive model i tried got smoked by the bad monkey. i really felt like a tool going up to the counter and asking for a bad monkey:o

I use both actually I think the HRDx just works well with pedals. Along with my BM I use a Barber Burn Unit EQ which adds a Marshall-esque OD/distortion.
