Members manus
I sold a Schecter that I wasn't using anymore this weekend so thought that I had better try out a few Squier Telecaster Custom IIs that I have been threatening to buy. I ended up taking one home with me! I needed something different (i've been a twin humbucker guy for years) and the P90s definately give me something different. Its a really nice guitar with an especially sweet sounding neck pickup and its a total bargain at only

Members english_bob
Nice. Neck P90s are ace- my Jazzmaster's neck pickup has the greatest sound known to man- fat and smoky and so huge. Have you had a chance to crank up the Tele to band levels? I find that that's where the cheap stuff shows its weaknesses... I was thinking about getting a bargainous guitar as my next purchase. I had an eye on a Schecter Corsair 335-a-like with a bigsby (

Members english_bob
Hope you have a blast with it dude I'm not too keen on the really RAWK Schecters, but I really dig their more indie designs - Corsair, Banshee, Tempest etc. (they do a really cool Tele Custom-type thing too- HB at the bridge, mini hum at the neck, both with coil taps,

Members manus
Well I played it loud last night...It is so much fun! It sounds really good, especially clean and through the fuzz factory and it feels really solid. It hums a little (although the centre position is hum cancelling) but not obtrusively. All in all its a bargain.By the way, did anyone see the write up it got in this months guitarist? I haven't bought this month's Guitarist yet, but I don't think I need any extra encouragement to want more stuff. I need to SAVE, not spend, and work on actually PLAYING instead of buying new stuff (Valve Jr + new valves, Zoom G2, Romany Plus, Hohner electric piano, all within about 3 months). How's the tuning stability? That's one of my big gripes with my Squier. Hum is par for the course with P90s, sadly With all the really cool cheap stuff coming out recently, I wonder how little you'd need to spend to get a really kickass rig these days... Members manus
oh yeah, guitarist gave the tele a choice award back in april, but the current issue has the top five teles, strats and basses you can buy. The squier tele cutom II was number two. I know its an advertising magazine, but everything else in these made up charts was at least three times the price, so its good it was mentioned.
