actually you're the only one here who posts songs regularly. even if they aren't always current ( ;) ) it's nice to hear what people are doing with all this stuff that they've amassed. and i don't mean just pedal clips but real actual songs. gear in context! and your clips show that you make good use of the pedals. it's not just fx for fx sake.

...if you're looking for more hits maybe send out invites or something. what do i know? i don't even have a myspace.

did the EP mentioned on myspace ever get released? no mention of hte mr.hyde site.

It got delayed due to difficulties with the artwork. It's scheduled for the end of this month. Actually a huge bummer. :( Stupid cover art.

I guess this means I need to update the myspace page.

LOL! Thanks for the compliments on the songs, guys. The influence medling doesn't seem as seemless to me, but that's because I know where my stuff is and where my other guitarist's stuff comes from. I write all the catchy, simple parts, and he tries to make it as complicated as possible.

Man, it's a shame we can't all just form a HCFX house band.:D

This is awesome. I love the name, too. My band is defunct, but I am gonna ask for an add.

Hit us up, my man. And don't fret about the band-- if you're up in Minnesota, there's pleanty of awesome musicians into what you're into in the twin cities, if you're going to be anywhere near there.

{censored}, I might just move up there myself.

that's the fun thing about arranging a song. every time i write something i'm absolutely certain that it sounds way too much like[enter one of 4-5 bands here]. i played one such song that i thought sounded exactly like GodspeedYBE. just me playing guitar as the others were tuning. one friend went on how much it sounded like Sabbath, another how it was totally a Sigur Ros song. well, once that song is arranged it may have bits that make the whole package sound nothing like any of those bands.

and that's one of the most interesting thing about playing with others--letting them have their "take" on your song, which sometimes can be quite unexpected.

Thanks.
It's a first for me. It's an 8-bar blues, played VERY slow. I did it as an exercise since it's hard for me to play this slow. :)
I played the Godin for rhythm and lead, and the bass is a Peavey Millennium.

Nice work guys. :thu::cool:

I know I wasn't on the list,;) but here's a link to a thread with some of my latest production work. I only played on one song, and keyboards at that, but lots of my gear was used - including my Casino, Brown Source and Memory Lane, as well as a lot of the Demeter Compulator I've been borrowing, (thx Adolf! :thu: ) so at least it's on topic.

Sorry for jumping in. :o

well my computer came in yesterday I tried all night to get my recording programs to transfer from my old computer to the new one, no luck :(

then I realized it didn't have a firewire port for my firewire solo... so I have to buy that today.

and a buddy is suppose to be bringing me some software to install on there tonight, so maybe I will get things underway tonight!

*crosses fingers*

Listened to all three of the songs on myspace Chitown and I am impressed, although I didn't care for the last one much. The songs remind me of Interpols first record a bit which is a good thing in my books. Will there be distribution to Canada? If so I'll pick it up.

Thanks! I'm glad you dig 'em. There's no distribution per se at this moment, besides what we're able to scrap together. If you want a copy, pm me and we'll work something out when it gets released. I'll even throw some badges or something in for free!

This goes for other forumites too, if you want in on this, I'll keep yinz posted.
