Members DaSkip
This is why I won't do well at the Pearly Gates. I have too many ifs ands or buts....I'm alot like Icehouse here, we are semi-elder statesmen here. Therefore, our experience has little in common with our slightly younger members of HC. There can be no definitive best band for me.The band that most made me want to play were the Beatles. I don't play alot of their songs, but I love them.I grew up on Big Band 40's music as well. The Yessong's tour made me buy my first guitar.Too many great bands to list.....I have no favorite.Sorry....

Up there with Zepplin at their peak in my book.

Members Mojambo
The Rolling Stones, because of their consistency at being awesome. However, Zepp, MC5 or The Stooges at their peaks could easily contend for that title as well. This is fact.

Members fuzzup
Stones, Stooges, Beates, Zep, Dylan with the Band. Today the best live bands I've seen are the White Stripes, The Hives, The Kills, Kings of Leon, and Radiohead. Any band Ian Blurton is in is usually amazing live too.
