Members Narcosynthesis
Just heard a track of theirs at www.pandora.com (very cool site) and it was most excellent, so I need more anyone able to point me in the direction of what album to pick up? Members Fourth Floor
The greatest hits can been had quite cheaply. That or August and Everything After (the first album) are the places to start. Oh, and we got to play with them twice. Nice chaps. Crowds of a 3500 sold out and another of 5000+. Members jo_to
the only listenable album is August and Everything After, and even that's a little much at times. Don't even bother with anything else they've ever done.

Members english_bob
August and Everything After is a good place to start, and I like the follow-up, Recovering the Satellites too, which is a bit more rocking. Not quite as keen on This Desert Life, their third, and haven't heard Hard Candy, which contains an awful, awful version of Big Yellow Taxi. Their best of is a decent selection, but as is usually the case, misses some of the ones you'd have chosen if compiling it had been your job... Members tom_s252
August and Everything After is the place to start, it being, IMHO, a work of genius. It's recognised as being quite good by non-fans as well Recovering the Satellites is worth getting because it rocks harder, and is the other half of the story (lead singer had a nervous breakdown whilst touring the first album, and thus RtS is full of songs about loneliness, the nature of fame, etc). This Desert Life and Hard Candy are inconsistent, but contain some good songs; if you like the first two and still want more, get them. By far the most enjoyable Crows recordings are live ones, so after you've got the albums, track down some good bootlegs or buy either of the two official live albums. There's an offical bootleg trading network on their website; they condone fans swapping boots, which is nice! Enjoy the ride
