Members houseofglass21
More influential than the Beatles my ass! I like the Kinks alright. I think "something else" is a great album, but their underrated status is justified by some of their weak output.

Members GuitArtMan
Love 'em. Saw them a bunch of time in the early to mid '70s. Loved those School Boy outfits for the "School Boys in Disgrace" tour! One year they played three nights in the greater SF bay area. I think it was SF, Oakland (or Berkley?) and San Jose (or was it Santa Cruz?). Anyway, a bunch of friends and I went and saw them all three nights. That was back in the days when concerts were open seating (well open standing). I made it up to the stage all three nights. The last show as Ray is walking off the stage he looks straight at me, walks across the stage, shakes my hand (and no one elses) and then walks off the stage. No joke. I guess that was his way of saying thanks for being a fan and supporting them.I sure hope Dave fully recovers from his stroke.

Love the cover and the songs in the album.Wouldn't call them an underrated band, they have a very high reputation, maybe not in the britney spears/avril lavigne fan area, but nearly everyone who has a fling for music gives them the credit they diserve.god save the kinks. Members TheAtomicJeff
I was fortunate enough to see them a couple of times in the late 70's and early 80's. Loved that Kinks era and a really great live band.
Members gil1
I think they got a point with "more influential than the Beatles". I think more people cop a Kinks vibe than cop a Beatles vibe.
