Members fearofnightmare
or, still use? I'm talking mainly about them in the early 80's, but if anyone knows what they use now, that's cool too. The only thing I know is that Daniel Ash used to use Telecasters, but now he's sponsored by some weird ass guitar brand.

They're British SS amps that are well-liked by those in the know. Jason Pierce of Spacemen 3/Spiritualized fame uses them, as did Marc Bolan from T. Rex. Members fearofnightmare
Cool. I was mainly wondering about the delay, and now I'm super curious about the amps...I remember when I saw Spiritualized a few years ago, I was thinking to myself how unique Jason's guitar tone was. Now, the next step is finding one in the 'states.
Members english_bob
I've got an old H||H Studio 100 2x12" amp that's my all-purpose backup. I think mine is a later (or perhaps a lower) model, as it doesn't have the infamous green glowing panel of other H||H amps, although there was a "Bass Machine" bass amp at a rehearsal studio we used to use that did. If you ever stopped laughing at its groovy retro looks, all you had to do was turn on the built in phaser circuit Like the vintageamps thread says, those amps were pretty standard budget fare for british bands back in the day (if you couldn't afford a Marshall), and still aren't desirable, in spite of their good quality and decent sounds. I got mine for
Members fuzzinator
I'm tellin you dudes. There is NOTHING like running a tape delay unit in your chain. I just picked up an Echoplex, and the FET-based preamp really boosts the signal. When I run my LP with P-90s through it into the Blues Jr, it is the sexiest break-up I've ever heard. And that is without running the tape!

Members Sir H C
They have a switch for "Valve Sound". Some, if you find them in the USA, are set for 110, mine is 220. These are old and often need a recap but that is easy to do. Unique sound, and often found dirt cheap (that one was $100).
