Members Josh S Posted September 20, 2007 Members Share Posted September 20, 2007 gilmour IS great, but roger waters is better, yes i saw him liveWell, that's your opinion I mean, don't get me wrong - I saw Roger live this year and last year, and both times were spectacular and among the best shows I've ever seen... But without Gilmour, there was something really really missing... And it's called his voice. Roger can get all the stunt guitarists he wants (and Snowy White is pretty close to in the band at this point, as far as I'm concerned) but he can't duplicate Gilmour's voice. Don't think any record companies or movie studios would be willing to spring for the expenses nowadays though They never had to worry about such nonsense.After the Beatles had the Floyd signed under them exclusively,PF never had to honor any label criteria beyond yearly releases.For six years they never even granted an interview!
