Members bikehorn
I've always wondered what one of these sounds like. Can anyone name any songs where a 250 is prominently featured? "DOD 250" doesn't contain any words long enough to search for on the forum.

Members chu2
That...was amazing. cool self-oscillation trick at the end. Back when Yngwie didn't eat donuts.

Members melx
......of course it would probably sound nothing like that with your amp and guitar.
Members willburford
I thought that video was Spinal Tap's 'Stonehenge' at first. Brilliant song
Members KRAA!!
I have seen Yngwie live recently. Even though he's a total asshole, his tone is ridiculously huge, articulate and angry sounding.
Members friction
the 250 will essentially sound like your guitar and amp, with more grit and more bass at lower settings.
Members squareking
Somebody described it as a fluid, 12AX7-type preamp distortion sound. That's about right.
Members SpectralJulian
I have one but I don't have a recording set-up that would give you a clip of it at it's best. To me it sounds a lot like an overdriven 12ax7. It is a nice natural sounding overdrive that retains the bass signal completely. If you crank it, you can get Fugazi guitar tones (guy did use a distortion +, which is very similar) and you can also set it to a slight overdrive, and it reminds me of T. Rex's 20th Century Boy. At least on my Bassman. The thing for me is to use it so it both adds grit and boosts my 12ax7s. I really love it. It sounds big and natural like an OD should. It doesn't choke your tone like a lot of ODs do.

And that synth part... Christopher Guest just keeps on amazing me.

My thoughts exactly! I concur. "In ancient times, hundreds of years before thedawn of history. There lived a strange race of people...the Druids. No one knows who they were, or what they were doing...but their legacy remains...hewn into the living rock of Stonehenge..."
