Members Kid_A
Now then.. Whats the deal on that, I thought we didnt have to pay taxes etc on anything moving around the EU? My understanding was we only pay VAT/Import duties from the USA etc... :poke:
Members NetStar
All prices include VAT. Don't ask me why, though...
Members IvIark
The price includes Euro VAT, so no additional tax or duty
Members Kid_A
Ah nice one... It's just their FAQ page kinda makes out we gotta pay our own VAT after it ships... Tell you what, have you seen their own brand guitars?!?! Thinking of picking one up and changing the pickups if they stink...

Members Matt0201
I've got one of the above guitars and its okay for the money but will need a pickup change and some better tuners.

The cheaper Harley Bentons are made in China and do reflect the price to me. Some of the more expensive Harley Bentons were Korean made by Shine. Check out this Shine guitar here: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Shine-Semi-Acoustic_W0QQitemZ220206059655QQihZ012QQcategoryZ22966QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem And the Harley Benton equivalent: http://www.dancetech.com/aa_dt_new/shop/edit.cfm?product_id=177008&carrywith=start%3D91%26end%3D100%26dt_shop_class%3D%26type%3Dintro%26name_search%3Dgrover Same guitar, same maker, even the same little notch on the headstock, just a different name on the headstock. It's the same with Peerless guitars. The Peerless website has this guitar on offer: http://www.peerlessguitars.co.uk/#/tonemastercustom/4523593829 Compare that to the Johnston 'COuntry Gent' I sold to someone here on the forum last year: It's pretty much the same guitar. The Peerless has better tuners but the pickups look the same and most of the adornements look the same. This website here (http://www.blutrade.de/Guitars/Johnson/johnson.html) used to sell the brown Johnson Country Gent I had but doesn't know. I actually wonder if Peerless released a slightly cheaper line (Johnson) over here in Europe simply to test the waters and see how they'd sell and whether it was worth introducing the more expensive Peerless guitars later on. In the UK, this place sells Peerless guitars. I really like the look of the P-90 equipped hollowbody Songbird. I'd go for the Korean instruments for that little bit more. Secondhand Shine guitars on Ebay can be had for about
