alright fess up, who hasn't done their taxes yet?

The best part about being a professional musician is being able to use all your gear and CD/mp3 purchases as write-offs.

 

But being a "professional musician" (or engineer, in my case) requires making legitimate (aka taxable) business transactions as proof of making your living as a musician.

 

Which means like 90% of us just got ruled out because we like cash better :)

I have a question...now i havent done my taxes yet, but how do i know if i'm getting that rebate check that is suppose to come to us in May?

 

 

If you had a taxable income of more than $3K last year I think, then you'll get one. How much depends on if you're single or have kids.

wow, i could really use that right now

 

 

it's good because it asks you a bunch of questions and help you maximum your return. Before i didn't know you can deduct your loans and IRA. You can deduct your car registration, and if you donate to charity or gave away a car, that helps too. A bunch of incentives.
