Members forprescription
I'm running an effects chain of about 8 pedals most of which are not TB. I want to add something at the end to give me some presence and a slight boost. Would you guys recommend an MXR micro amp or an EQ pedal with a boost (GE-7) thanks for reading
Members telepete
the micro amp will certainly do that for you
Members Lanefair
What 8 pedals are they? Maybe you just need to set them up differently. I would go for a clean boost in this case. An eq is simply complicating the signal path even more.
Members joncyberboy
Microamps are great. Get one for the fin of it anyway.
Members messiah
Fish n Chips and set it something like this on the graphic; ________________== _______==___== =====___==___ Level Then, get a Micro Amp or SHO if you feel the need (which you will). Members Lanefair
Yeah I would just put a boost at the start of the chain to drive all the other effects.
Members Orwell
in this order:Boss TU-2RAT IIFuzz FactoryVoodoo Lab TremoloPhase 90Boss PS-3Boss DD-20Digiverb You should put the Fuzz Factory first. It really doesn't like to be placed after a buffered effect like the TU-2. Maybe placing the tuner in a different location will clear up your problem. Members Lanefair
Another option would be to get a 3 looper with a tuner mute. Then do this: Loop1: Fuzz Factory > Rat IILoop2: PS-3 >Phase > Trem Loop3: Delay > Digiverb Tuner out: Tuner That way you'd have between 0 and 7 pedals in the path at any one time instead of 8 all the time. Sure. There was also a thread where some guys where singing praises about putting the TU-2 at the end. Cheers!
