Members anglerfish Posted July 19, 2008 Members Share Posted July 19, 2008 There used to be a Seattle band called Mars Accelerator who probably had a dozen different pedals on at all times, and would basically change the combination with every new section of a song. It was like a combination rock show and tap dance recital. I just did a Google search and can't find any pics of their boards, but they were pretty extreme, maybe the dimensions of a large Pedaltrain, with three tiers effects on each. My compressor and light OD are always on, DMM 95% of the time and add the other stuff for flavoring. I like a nearly clean sound most of the time, unless I'm doing a punky song or need extra dirt for leads. My board has 11 effects not including tuner, and the most I've had in a live rig is 15.
