Gigging Keyboardists Law #1:

Compared to the load-in weight of your rig, the load-out weight will increase proportionately with respect to the number of keyboards and amps you bring, the size of the car used for transport, length of the gig, distance to and from the gig, and whether you had to sing.

First Corollary to Gigging Keyboardists Law #1:

As the load-out weight increases, the frequency and intensity of GAS increases.

Gigging Keyboardist Law #5

The visibility of your setlist and/or buttons, LEDs and LCDs

governing patch changes is inversely proportional to the amount

of lighting in the dark corners of the stage into which the Gigging

Keyboardist is shoehorned.

(for outdoor summer version of above law, see also: "sun in eyes,"

"low-contrast LCDs" and "low-contrast lighted buttons"...)

Revision: The odds of encountering a chick who wants to lay you increases in direct proportion to the amount of time you need to spend on breakdown to the point where she will decide that you're really not that interested and leave with the sound guy.
