Members skr3ddy
The Fed pushed re-fi's as a means to pump money into the economy to keep the dot-com bubble and the 9/11 crisis and the slowly-bursting real estate bubble from costing any rich people their speculative investment dollars. As real estate values AND REAL WAGES dropped, main street had no possible way out of defaulting on their deceptively expensive and aggressively marketed mortgages. To first of all victimize the middle class by raising their cost of living and lowering their income, then selling them these credit products they wouldn't have needed in the first place, just to raise cash for Wall Street and then turn around and blame that same middle class when it all falls flat is the height of hubris. Members jorhay1
I think it was economist Ben Stien suggested a bail out plan from the 'bottom up'. Giving low and mid income households financial aid to be able pay their debts.
Members skr3ddy
Republicans are the party of strong defense, limited spending, strong free-market economics, and small government. That's why BushCo broke the military, ran the country into trillion-dollar deficits and the economy into state-bailout bankruptcy, and turned us into an East-German-style surveillance state.
