Members chisa
the MXR dyna comp is probably the standard. however, i got a cmatmods compressor which is based on the MXR but with a tone control and true bypass.

Members zygoat
You're probaby looking for major squish for country stuff? Dyna comp gets my vote. I've been through the dyna comp, keeley 2 knob, maxon cp101, and currently on the pine green. The only one out of those that i would advise to stay away from is the maxon. Members sethlover
For Country (and really any other type of music) bar none get yourself a Dan Armstrong Orange Squeezer or clone. Fantastic for pickers, maybe thee de facto Country compressor.
Members The*Ataris
I really like my Maxon. Found it for $70 at a Guitar Center... Really does well with a Telecaster into a Twin Reverb. I also like it as a solo boost after my OD in my JMP. Classic attack envelope, nice and bright, really brings out interesting harmonic content.
