Members huskerjohn
hmmm, interesting. can one just add germanium transistors, or does it have to be TS808 specs first? I'm thinking maybe ad one to a Blues Driver might be cool I'm not as handy as I wish I was, so I had CMATMODS do the conversion. The Monte Allums and the CMATMODS websites are pasted below. The also have BD-2 modshttp://www.monteallums.com/pedal_mods.htmlhttp://www.cmatmods.com/Portal/

Members kpd78
red llama or clone like the mule already mentioned. It is based on the tube sound fuzz yep. i've got a Wren & Cuff Red Camel (Red Llama clone) which does what i think the OP is asking for.i also have an old Ross Distortion which is along the same lines... so.. how about trying an MXR Dist+ (which is what the Red Llama is based on i believe). Members Crxsh
Lots of good suggestions in here: Fuzz Head immediately came to mind. Screwdriver is popular. Mellowtone can get pretty fuzzy. Yeah.

Members Headlow
This pedal comes to mind +1. I also have a Keeley BD-2 that can get pretty fuzzy, though that's not how I use it. A few weeks back I had a Hotcake for a few days that had a bit of a fuzzy character to it too.
