Members RoboPimp
hawt damn, I love my wife DIY LP guitar kit all mahogany body, neck yeah it's a bolt on but it's a nice looking piece of wood. Looks much better than my crappy camera lets on. The holes for the bridge/stopbar aren't drilled yet, i'm thinking BIGSBY all the way eh? What says you guys? Members RoboPimp
i think a bigsby would be awesome. any thought to what pickups you're going to put in it? not yet, it came with some generic HB pickups which I will definitely try first, sometimes I really like these mysterious no-names. Members RoboPimp
Bigsby + Burstbuckers?? i do like the burstbuckers in my SG... I was thinking about minis for some reason or maybe those "filtron" style from GFS. but like I said, new pickups will be a while off. I'll give the "stock" ones a whirl first. Members pepperduck
filtertrons and a bigsby would be the way to go in my opinion. I'm actually about to change the p90s in my TVL for some filtertron style PUs.

Members RoboPimp
Where did she get it? It's super cool.it came with instructions that say BYO guitar. it is sweet but there is a lot of work to put into it. Definitely not as simple as some other kits I've seen. Members NotDead
A few ideas: Tru-oil finish.Countersink the neck bolts(look like a set neck).SG classic/melody maker-type tuners.Bigsby B-7 or B-6(or wraparound bridge)P-90s or minihumbuckerspaint a brown line around the top, to fake binding, but keep the "woody" feel, or if you're brave, rosewood binding. Members RoboPimp
The GFS retrotrons are {censored}ing great. Do it. we'll see, i'm working as much stock as possible... I'm probably scratching the bigsby now because honestly I barely ever use vibrato bars and it's like $90 for the cheapest one. Maybe later on I'll do it and just plug the stop bar holes or put one of those little "custom" placards this thing is gunna take quite a bit of work. It's definitely not just something you can slap together. It still needs lots of sanding & drilling, finishing, more sanding... etc. it's gunna be a labor of
