Members grickie
Please recommend a looper, I've been looking to get one for a while. I've seen the original boomerang used in a concert ( The Wootens, OMG great) but that's been a while. I'm looking to have long loop times as I want to layer and solo over some basic tracks. I have a few pedals and different amps I want to record to the looper the hit the solos with different amps and effectsPrice doesn't matter, but I tend to buy the best bang for the buckI would buy new or used.I don't care what device it's in as it can do the job...roger lynn stuff, eventide, boomerang, boss...anythingany suggestions? Members TomTFS
DL4 or Akai Headrush. DL4 if you want the ability for delays while you loop, halfspeed reverse playback and "one shot" loop playing.Or Headrush if you want to be able to revert back to the original loop after layering. Members BmoreTele
The variety of loopers that are now available show how many different preferences there can be. The Boomerang and Akai Headrush are generally considered to have the easiest learning curve. The deepest set of functions is probably that of the Looperlative. Using different amps would be a very complex setup that would depend more on routing, ABY boxes, and phase balance than on which looper(s) you pick. Check out Looper's Delight for an overview.http://www.loopers-delight.com/loop.html

Members falseswipe
Headrush dude. Works pretty flawlessly and is very easy to use. Not many bells and whistles, but you probably want to keep it simple when playing around with multiple loops.
