Members Songman68
So what will do this for me, a compressor? If so what is a great compressor for a great price. I am more interested in the notes ringing out longer and more sustain than a squeeze type effect.
Members starsailor803
I really like the Barber Tone Press. Because it's a parallel dry/compressed signal you can blend it to get the sustain without the squash.
Members Collapse
Compressor should do the job. Or you can turn up the volume!

Members slashfacepalm
I'm using a CS-2, and I have a trem block ready to put in which will also help.
Members Mike McLenison
I use two delays (one into the other 350ms & 200ms respectively) and it is very effective.
Members ben_allison
Compressor. That's the point. So you want to find a compressor that doesn't really mess with the attack of notes, rather, brings up the decay. Ross styles are good for this. Keeley maybe? Thing is, it's GOING to mess with your tone... there's no free lunch. But I think something like the Keeley (or Tone Press) will be your best bet. Dynacomp is a good, more affordable option, but it will make more of a mark on your sound. Whether that's good or bad... only you can decide!
