Someday. It is quite Minimalist, slick mirror-like surfaces butted against exaggerated textural surfaces... I made my own paints using Cadmium Red & Yellow,Barium, Cobalt, lead and graphite. Very much into the symbologies inherent in the pigments themselves. All of those materials have a dualism inherent in them, they were all used in the production of the first atomic bomb at Los Alamos, and are used in Artist's materials. You really should look up Cy Twombly , you will see the connection I think, he is a bridge from the Abstract Expressionists, Pop Artists and the Conceptualist Painters of the 70's. A very understated Artist, used white in a very new way. Where in Texas are you? One of my mentors , John Lees has established a major career on his still lifes, he shows with Betty Cunningham and Hirschl Adler Modern in NY and has work in the Met and major collections all over the world, thanks to still lifes!
