Members Wyatt
well...after all that ...ive decided that the JH-F1 isnt for me.the lack of power adaptor pisses me off the size of the pedal itself pisses me offand i dont think it likes my el84 framus.the lead channel of said amp can sound just as fuzzy, but fatter and warmer.so selling it (found a buyer already) for a $40 profit.next fuzz pedal to try is .... (suggestions welcome) The size of the pedal is kinda funny, since the circuit can fit on a board about the size of a US quarter.
Members Johansolo
well i decided to change out the el cheapo battery with an energizer one...and it actually made a big diffrence in tone for the fuzz face. it also doesnt pick up radio stations with the fuzz knob on full? and it actually quite liked it...but ill have to say good bye to it this saturday as i already sold it. (suggestions welcome) fuzz faces sound better running on batteries (carbon zinc). size is what it is. a fuzz face sounds it's best into an amp that is breaking up but not to the point of being totally saturated (or into an "amp-like" overdrive pedal). I think that dunlop blue fuzz face is one of the nicest sil fuzz faces out.
Members akapuli
I have the red version and a built in version in my JH-FW. Serious business, if you want to play in the "3rd stone from the Sun" model.
