Members Cliff Fiscal
I have the Traynor YBA-1A. I also have the YGL-3A Mark III, which is also great. Had a few others and they've all been great. The YBA being my favorite.
Members Instrospection
Here's my analysis on them: -The heads are usually awesome. Seriously. I haven't used one that I haven't liked. -the cabinets are good by themselves, but the Marsland and other speakers that they usually used aren't that good. My thoughts are that the speakers held back the amps' sound for years and gave the amps a bad rap -the combos can be hit or miss. I had a YGM-4 Studiomate that was pretty underwhelming, but that was mainly because of the speakers. The feel of the amp overall, even the knobs/ pots wasn't up to par with that of the heads. -four screws on the top for amp electronics access is a great idea. Why didn't every amp maker do this? -the biasing in the amps is usually spot on. It's usually why you can find old Traynors with the original tubes in them that still work and have life in them This is my old Reverb Master--probably the best amp that I have, it's usually my go to--EL34's and master volume with about the best amp breakup sound that you can imagine with the preamp volume:
