The Shure ones are VERY good if you want to spend that much coin. The Sennheisers that were suggested are also very nice. I have a pair of the JVC "Marshmallow" series, they are an in ear but they use a soft foam pad instead of a silicone earpiece insert, and they come with an extra set for $20. I have been really happy with mine. They seem to hold up pretty well for cheapie headphones, too. I too hate the Apple ones, they hurt my ears, and not just with their sound quality....

The ones that came with the ipod touch were terrible, the soft padding tore off mine.

My dad has a pair of these

My girl got me a a pair of these for my birthday next week http://www.amazon.com/Thinksound-Wooden-Noise-Isolating-Headphone/dp/B002VKHT6K/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1274931707&sr=8-1

I've just been using some old Creative in-ears from like 10 years ago with my Zune (who's stock headphones are soooo bad!) so I'm excited to hear these!

Don't know if you can get them in the UK though but I can report back on them if you want. Although I've never tried any other headphones anywhere near that price point so what would I be comparing them to?

Anyway, wooden in-ears' definitely interesting.
