Members turnitto11 Posted October 4, 2010 Members Share Posted October 4, 2010 Started off Friday. Met up with a buddy of mine and bought his Blackheart little giant head and cab. Not a bad little amp, and got it for $200. Replaced chinese tubes with an EH EL84 and Jan Philips 12AT7. Sound have a blast running it in stereo with my Traynor Today, got an Ibanez DE7 for $20. How is the black heart?Sounds pretty good! Likes overdrive pedals more than my traynor does. After putting the 12AT7 in, its less harsh and grainy. Sounds very very nice when its right on the verge of break up. Currently, i really like it with the volume a little above noon in the 3 watt setting best. DE7 is pretty cool. Don't like the echo mode as much as expecting, but the regular delay mode sounds alright, and was definitely worth the $20 I paid for it.
