How are the epiphone dots?

Couldn't stomach enough of that song to get an idea of the sound you're after, sorry. Tired chord progression plus creepy worship music = no go for me.

Why not try out one of the less expensive Gretsch guitars and see if you like it, though? They're not very pricey and they're going to be made in the same part of the world as the epiphone.

How bad are bigsby tuning issues? It's something I'd want, but I look back on my Floyd Rose days with nothing but horror.

Not bad enough to keep me from using it live, but bad enough where I feel I must check the tuning after nearly every song.

I liked the pickups in the cheaper Gretsch models (5120, 5122) but the build quality was really bad on the few I played. {censored}ty fretwork. Plus I've come to hate those thick bodies, the Casino/Dot/335 thickness is so much more comfortable to me.

Luckily I live within an hour of 3 big guitar centers and could try several Dots before buying. Some were really bad, honestly.

Ah dude i love that song!

anyways.

I have a buddy who has the Dot and he loves the feel of it and all, but we all agreed that the stock pickups weren't that great. He replaced them with some Gibson '57 classics and now the thing just sounds AMAZING.

It might be that epiphone is just really inconsistent with the quality of their guitars, but i love my wildkat.
