Members mhuxtable
I just got a KP3 Kaoss Pad. Haven't hooked it all up yet (need some adapters), but question: I know you can run a sound source through the Line In which are RCA cables. But there's the Mic In (1/4" plug) that you can effect too. I'm assuming if you wanted to affect a guitar, you'd plug into the Mic Input correct? Members Blakemore Effects
If I remember correctly with the KP2, the mic level input was way too hot to run your guitar through. I seem to remember it completely distorting my guitar signal in a really unpleasant way. It's been a long time since I messed around with that though. I just bought some RCA to 1/4" adapters and went that route.
Members mhuxtable
Ok thanks...I just figured a guitar signal wouldn't be hot enough to run through a line level input
Members Blakemore Effects
Yeah. I dunno if they made any huge changes with the KP3, but running it at line level always worked for me. Just make sure to throw it in a TB loop. Mine sounded pretty {censored}ty in bypass.
Members BHz_econo
It depends. My pickups aren't hot at all do I didn't have that problem. Just be aware of the input level because it can distort really quickly. I actually ran my wavestation through it and loved the way it distorted(not with guitar though).
