Been on a pedal splurge lately........probably could have purchased an amp with all of the pedals I picked up recently (this year).

Original POG

Boss RV-5

VFE custom dual pedal

Bad Horsie 2

Pedaltrain PT2 w/hard case

Aaron SS meathead

Aaron SS russian muff

Morley JD-10

Tortuga Martini

Boss HM-2

(these are just the ones that I've kept :freak:)

Amp GAS is so much more satisfying initially. Pedals are good too, but have more pay off in the long run.

A trick I've learned, depending on your situation, have another person or get black out drunk and hide a pedal you aren't digging somewhere really strange. Out smart yourself.

That way, when you find it, you fall in love all over again.

It's like finding money you didn't know you had in your winter coat.

Anywho....

Today is Earthbound Supercollider day! :rawk:

Should be a good addition to the collection, especially since I sold my HOOF.

Also bit on the HM deal on the EQD Speaker Cranker.

Not quite sure what to expect with this one. :o

Holy hell, the supercollider is fantastic. Many settings from mellow to doom. Much more versitile than I expected.

I can see why doomers and bass players dig these.....girthy!

Although a bit surprised that they aren't talked about more. Limited numbers?

or the BAT pharoah taking over?

I messed with it a little more, and the Supercollider can do more than just doom. I couldn't compare back to back, but I was getting tones that reminded me of my HOOF.......which is great, as I sorta regretted selling it.

I did compare it back to back with a Russian Green Muff clone, and it could do that too....just dial the mids back and add some depth. boom.

Compared it to the VFE Firey Red Horse too. The VFE was a little more flexible with all of the options, but overall it was a little bit smoother....less aggressive. The SC could get close, but not quite.

Either way, it's nice to have such a flexible muff fuzz with the SC. It's definitely going on my board. :thu:
