Just picked up a mid-70's Pan 335-type semi-hollow guitar. It has odd single coil pickups in it that look like something off a Rickenbacker or something...they sound incredible, jangle and bite with great clarity and very little hum! The build quality is tops, subtle flamed maple red laquer, gold hardware trapeze tailpiece MOP block inlays, rosewood fretboard....crikey I am in love!

Yeah Travvy it does the pickups are black, the magnet poles are aged chrome and the pickup surrounds are oversized black/white 5 ply like the binding on the neck and the missing pickguard(I presume, as it was missing when I bought it) I am toying with the idea of a black mother of pearl or just a black and white 5 ply replacement. Or maybe I'll leave it guardless....the finish is aged and looks great! I am also thinking of getting some Duncan Antiquity Firebird pickups for it.... Those are my fav pickups and I think they will fit without routing....
