It was originally developed as being an oldies format in United States of America displaying the British Invasion era music in the 1960s. In 1970s and 1980s the classic rock re-creates the sounds of album oriented rock stations. The sounds of re-create of rock stations in 1970s and 1980s mainly appeals the adults than the teenagers, though the there are many rock sound which appeals to the modern generation. There are many stations which plays the limited version of classic rock sounds or from the new classic sounds produce by the rock artists.
