Blurb incoming......

"More than 20 countries have offered assistance, even though President Bush has said that the U.S. can take care of the situation itself.

The U.S. state department said it had received offers of help from Belgium, Canada, Russia, Japan, France, Germany, Britain, China, Australia, Jamaica, Honduras, Greece, Venezuela, the Organization of American States, Nato, the Netherlands, Switzerland, Greece, the Dominican Republic, El Salvador, Mexico, South Korea, Israel and the United Arab Emirates."

The great United States of America could take care of itself IF we had the proper leadership.

Dare I say that the decorated John Kerry would have done a much better job of leading. He did so in Vietnam as evidenced by the soldiers that served with him.

Instead Bush is too busy playing golf and his new interest... guitar to pay much attention to being a leader.

I can't and won't attempt to argue with you about our leadership.

I have said for a long time and still believe it, our country used to be led by men of vision. Now we are led by popular polls and arogant peoples of both parties. They have very little sense for the common man.

I think we will do just fine regardless of our leadership in this time of national distress.

Could be, but he LOST the election. America spoke and it wasn't for him!

I am glad you think we will do just fine.

I am of a different opinion.

We need some real leadership in this country.

Where are the FDR's? JFK, Tom Jefferson, ML King, the men of vision?

It's all about the almighty buck. I am ashamed at my generation. We had a vision of peace that turned to greed.

Snip...

I can't argue with this Paul. I am in agreement with you totally here and I do find that somewhat hard to believe. But men of vision never seem to make it to the national forum of politics.
Seems that greed nowadays can take them over and they go
into lucrative fields other than politics.

Our politics in the USA alone are so variagated that one man can not possibly cover all the bases. He HAS to have help. That is a downfall IMHO. Any time things get put thru committies the ideas themselves either become so diluted that they are no longer of real immediate worth or they are completely changed in spirit so that they can't possibly help the ones that they were originally intended to help.

That is just here at home. Now imagine in todays world with instant access to almost any information you want at the moment you want it, how it can feel to be a real leader. It would be so overwhelming to me. I just can't fathom one single individual who could fill that job adequately.

Michael Moore can really be full of crap. But on a few things like most people he is right on the money. Same thing with a few really conservatives. How can there only be shades of black and white. Why can't there be gray where both opinions overlap. That is where the truth lies in my own opinion.

Three Canadian warships and a Canadian Coast Guard vessel were being loaded with supplies, and 1,000 Canadian Forces personnel are to leave from Halifax on Tuesday. A bunch of helicopters, water, food, doctors and nurses, rescue people and corpse dogs and Canada is doing something special about upping oil production.

Nothing could be sent until Bush gave the OK.

Even my mother-in-laws Micky Mouse charity organization has donated over a million dollars.

Yeah, that John Kerry, not THAT'S a man of vision.

Get real.

By the way, he isn't decorated anymore, is he? Didn't he throw away his decorations?

Let's not waste energy and concentration over this!! People are dying horrible deaths as we sit here and fight over who is as fault.

I am glad to see other countries pitching in to help. Two thumbs up to all of them.

As for the Bush bashing, its really not the time or place. Its just another opportunity for those who are consumed by hate to knock the guy. Like the President could have done more to prevent this. I'm sorry, but you are a clueless moron if you believe this.

We are going thru a type of natural disaster we have yet to deal with before. If everything is not perfect with the way its handled, sorry. I'm sure the people involved are trying their best in a very difficult situation.

I'm so sick and tired of all the spineless babies who bitch and moan and blame the government for every little thing that goes wrong in their lives. Get real. Life is dangerous. Life is hard. Accept it and deal with it.

There are so many people in this country who gladly put themselves in positions where they have to depend on the government for everything in life. It gives them a great opportunity to sit back and blame others for their problems.

I don't blame the government for any of my problems and, like most people, I have lots of them. I pray that I never find myself in a position where I have to depend on the government for anything. Its not their place to baby me and wipe my ass every time I {censored} my pants. I {censored} up, I fix it. If I don't, I live with the fact that it's my own fault.

As for the Bush bashing, anyone who does that now should be ashamed of themselves. Its an extremely hard situation to deal with. If you think the government has a magic wand to come in and make everything perfect, well you are sadly mistaken, my friend. I don't care who you could have in office now, the problem would still be there.

It sickens me to see what a bunch of crybabies the once proud US has become. "Bush did this to me, Bush did that to me." "My life would be so much better if we had a president who would make all my problems go away." I'm sorry, but if that's your attitude, you deserve all the {censored} that's coming your way in life and there will be plenty of it.

You got that {censored} right. Its not the time to point fingers.

All these fat assed whiners who are going on TV blaming people would be much more useful if they would shut the {censored} up and drive to the area and start helping.

Life is hard and mean, folks. This is one of the hard times. If it wasn't handled perfectly, then so be it. Hopefully, next time it will be better, but who knows. There's no guarantee anyone else could have done any better.

as far as I'm concerned..... the government did its job and it did it well.

The government:

PREDICTED the severity of the storm IN ADVANCED. Predicted the direction and path of the storm. It then said........"HEY! GET OUT! GET OUT".

Some people ignored that order. They stayed behind. "bah humbug". Kinda of like the idiot in the apartnment who HEARS the firealarm and then goes back to wacking to barely legal porn..... the last porn he will ever see.

We aren't looking at "victims" on TV. We are looking at IDIOTS.... who ignored a direct suggestion from the government to GET OUT.
Now... they want to cover up and conceal their own stupity ...... and blame the GOVERNMENT who told them to GET OUT.

(the handicapped and the elderly are exempt from my above conclusion).

Some might say "the poor dont have cars"....... but they have multiple pairs of $150 shoes. You can buy a used car for $500.
I don't know man. I don't know man.

I do feel pity for those who couldnt go for reasons beyond their control.
But... I'm seeing CARS sunken underwater. WHY WERENT THOSE CARS DRIVEN OUT OF TOWN????
Because.... idiots dont flee death. They stand in front of it like..... deer in the road. Dumb deer.

I hope thats not a complete list.

Where is kuwait??? americans gave their lives to save those islamic kuwaiti tribesmen from Adolf Hussein.

Their contribution better be higher than everyones per capita.

Cuba offered support. The state department has political reasons for not revealing that.

And chavez.
