I love your Carcass clip. It grinds just the way it should. I'm at school right now, so I can't record anything anytime so. Members Octaver
Ah ok I'll give the EL34's a go then. This self biasing thing interests me , so i can whack some EL34's in the (Two Outside slots ?) & just start up the amp & play away ? BTW does anyone have a preferance for Valves in this amp I have stock Mesa 6L6's in there now I have some new JJ E34L's sitting around & some Old Groove Tube EL34s . I might try ? And a small collection of 12ax7s somewhere. What do you guys use ?

Members Octaver
potaetoes, what didnt you like about the EL34's Im guessing the clean channel would suffer at band volume What was the negative effect on the Dirty tones ?

He used a closed 4x12 cab to get those tighter tones.

Another nice clip, thanks, you're getting me more into the Mark IV mood.BTW, is B just tuning standard all the way down to B, or is it tuning to C# and dropping to B? And as you know theMKIV has 8/4/4 Speaker outsHow can I use either of these cabs in Conjunction with the Combo's speaker ? Sorry for asking so many questions you could plug in the combo speaker and your 212 into the two 4-ohm jacks, or unplug the combo speaker and use both of your quads on the 8-ohm jack if at least one of them has a parallel jack to run the second one from. also, you could plug a 16-ohm quad into the 8-ohm jack without worry. it's not the best idea with all amps, but mesa says this is perfectly fine to do with theirs, you'll just have less power.
