Members illini
I have been slightly confused that I have not been able to find out much info about the Boss DS-1 here. I am looking for a new boost, and was under the assumption that this was a commonly used pedal.....until. I realized that it was not the ds-1 but rather the sd-1. All you sd-1 users, why do you like that pedal as a boost over others? Or, why don't you like it?

Members RoboPimp
both of those pedals exist.. the SD-1 is an overdrive pedal the DS-1 is a distortion pedal. I use both and they are both excellent pedals. The DS-1 can be very fake sounding if you turn the tone much past 9-10 oclock but in it's little "sweet spot" it's a great pedal. the SD-1 is a great pedal too, I still keep the tone at less than 12 oclock

I would use them just with a looper/bypass box or whatever.
