A isn't that low... If you wanna talk low on SYL's "Ailen" they have a song in low E. Granted the bass player is just moving air at the point, but you can tell when he's playing notes. Meshuggah have 8-strings and they have songs in Low F and D. Listen to their remix of "Benzin" by Rammstein, now that's some inaudiably low bass!

not on pentasystem (most just dropped their 7s or used octave downs)...some bands experimented with pentasystem but it didn't catch on

Pentasystem is a totally different...There are 5 strings and they are different guages than regular guitar strings...tuned in fifths

and pentasystem can drop to lower than A...down to C etc...everything stays tight

I don't mind some of their riffs but I'm not a big fan of that vocal style. I like screaming and other death metal vocals but not really into that style.

ROFL

Dallas is going bald it seems.

The vocals are pretty tame on the new album actually, used to be much more low and gutteral which I preferred. They used to be a cominbation of everyone but mostly its all Dallas now which is a dissapointment. His growl is relatively midrange.

It would appear that posting whilst blind drunk is not advisable - at least not in my instance.....apologies to any and all offended souls.....

That aside - I still love Nile. I quite like their evolved vocal style as I feel it blends more with their songs, rather than somewhat dominating them..

Cheers peeps.....:thu:

The song is "Possesions" I think they used some vintage Les Paul to record that , kinda odd considering the shorter scale and whatnot. I would go for a baritone or that Pentasystem thing, to retain clarity.
