If you wanna talk low on SYL's "Ailen" they have a song in low E. Granted the bass player is just moving air at the point, but you can tell when he's playing notes. Meshuggah have 8-strings and they have songs in Low F and D. Listen to their remix of "Benzin" by Rammstein, now that's some inaudiably low bass! The vocals are pretty tame on the new album actually, used to be much more low and gutteral which I preferred.
