Members apostrophe
Last night the buzzing/static hum on my Vox Pathfinder 15R was so loud I had to stop playing! With the volume at Noon the buzz was so loud it drowned out the guitar! Also, turning the reverb up made it even worse! Wtf?!
Members Boltino
About a million things can cause a guitar amp to buzz/hum. Could be one of many components of the amp, could be the guitar, cables, grounding issue with the power supply; the list goes on. Sorry, I know that's not much help. It's kind of like trying to answer the question, "why is my car not running well?" Wes

Members apostrophe
Well I tried two different cables and there was no difference. I plugged in a few other guitars and no difference. So I don't think it's guitars or cables... I was plugged right into the wall....maybe going througha power strip would help? Members duncan
maybe. try an outlet on a different circuit. and if that doesn't work, try an outlet in a different building.

Why would a power strip make a difference? Are you near a TV,comp monitor, etc? Neon /flourescent lightslights on the same circuit? Space heaters with a fan can make amps noisy.
