Members Mikeo
Now this many not be a critical factor in your tone or preference in sound in one amp over another, but I thought that I'd bring this up again. Most know what point to point wiring is, but you may rarely see this style of wiring on a multi channel amp, PC boards are good and have there place, you can cram a lot of stuff in an area, with a PC board, but they are not easy to mod at all. Not that mods can't be done. This is how much of the fender stuff is put together, with the volume/ tone controls and switches all mounted to the PC board, Mesa
Members Mikeo
Now here's a Mesa. The pic's a little better, cause it's off their site and not scanned like the Fender. Remember let's not bash either company. I also have a JCM 800 2x12 combo that I bought in the very eraly 80's. I love the tone, but always thought is was kinda cheesey in construction
Members charliedango
My Rivera's pots are soldered to the circuit board and it's just fine. I actually snapped the post off of the channel one master volume pot and it's still fine.....well fine except that I can't adjust the volume until I get a replacement.
