I wonder why he doesn't allow the shop to remain open, install a "Boss" and basically license his name and designs, while then taking more expensive and rewarding custom jobs himself.

If he just doesn't want to be a Boss, he could still own the name and the company, and just have someone else run it for him.

Just seems a shame for such a respected and loved guitar company and such excellent designs to go. :cry:

Tom & co. are a class act and I wish him all the best.

I have dealt with them on and off for 18 years and have owned 5 Anderson's in that time.

I can relate to his decision as I feel we all can.
Who here has a day job?
How often do you wish you could stay home and make music all day, or simply do what you enjoy rather then dealing with all the BS at your job.
He put in 20+ years and now wants to do what he enjoys, we only get so many days on this planet so I applaud his decision. In fact I may order one of his axes when he goes solo.
