Members Kuato Lives
And GO! (Sovteks are too "thin" for this amp and I'm not a fan of Groove Tubes. I'm looking for something that won't break up so early.)
Members JimAnsell
have you tried the Groove tubes GE copies? they're way better than regular GT's. i had rubys in my pro reverb, and those sounded good too.
Members Kuato Lives
Mine are just the GT's. Any more suggestions? Also, what's with the Diezel picture below our avatars?
Members potaetoes
i have philips 6L6WGB in my bandmaster, and they sound really good. very fat and smooth, and very reasonable price and availability for NOS stuff. they should last a hell of a long time, too. Members rushtallica
I'm not totally sure about with Fenders, but I loved the way Svetlana winged =C= 6L6gc tubes made both the clean and gain sound in my Carvin X100B amps.

Members ZX-Matt
Aside from NOS RCA blackplates, from what I've read, these "sound" like they may fit the bill. But I have no direct expertise on the amp or tubes, just from reading the characteristics. TAD 6L6GC-STRorTAD 6L6WGC-STR
Members Kuato Lives
Hmm...I might give those a try. Call me stupid, but out of curiosity: What does NOS mean?
Members ZX-Matt
NOS=New Old stock. Meaning brand new, as in never been used, but manufactured maybe 20-30-40+ years ago, and no longer still in production. I don't know if I should have put some line feeds in my reply. But I was pointing you towards investigating the TADS when I said "From what I've read". Check 'em out over @ Dougstubes. As for the RCA Blackplates I'm "told" work well in Fender Bassmans....so I kind of figured same may hold true for your amp. But these would be more $$ then the above. Members Kuato Lives
Well, it looks like I'm going to try my hand at the TAD 6L6WGC's. I read something about those Phillips tubes saying they break up earlier, so I nixed that for consideration.
